FRANCIS BERKIN
Francis Berkin, based in Knokke (Belgium), creates photographic portraits representing sentiment and beauty in unique settings. Beauty is not the core of his work. You will feel the emotion of the person being portrayed in each of his works. Insecurity, power, sensuality, attraction, are just some of the emotions you will feel through the images.
Berkin creates his images in unique settings, sometimes in lifelike environments, sometimes in exclusive decors of hotels, restaurants or interior designers which creates a warm surrounding for the person's emotion. Berkin has a wide variety of works available in listed galleries, but also organizes personalized shoots for individuals who want a unique portrait for a lifetime piece of art.
Before a shoot you are invited to discuss your expectations on theme, genre of art and character expression. After this a scene will be agreed defining the required environment and whether to involve people from your environment like children, partner or friends, or whether professional models are added to create the right atmosphere. All images are post processed to assure a character statement which reflects you at your best.
